Catering

What’s included?

  • All overnight camp food and drinks are provided (i.e. breakfast, afternoon snacks, and evening meals)

  • A welcome meal on the evening before the race start

  • A celebratory finishers’ meal on the evening of the final day

What’s not included?

  • Food to take away from the overnight camps. Participants must bring plenty of snacks to keep them going between overnight camps i.e. while out on the course (water can be taken from the overnight camps).

  • Hot water from the kitchen for having a wash!

The Dragon’s Back Race® is organised by runners so we understand just how hungry participants will be. We have expertly developed our menu - offering a more varied breakfast, fresh homemade soups for your afternoon snack, themed menus for each evening meal, plus a delicious variety of desserts and cakes each day. All the meals are high in calories and nutritionally complete to provide the right balance of micro and macro nutrients for participants undertaking a very tough physical challenge.

All meals are based on a meat and fish FREE menu with the option of adding dairy, cheese and eggs to make them vegetarian.

Why a meat and fish free menu? Read our sustainability policy here.

Food will be served in a dedicated catering tent by the catering team. There will be plenty of space to enjoy meals in the communal marquee along with fellow runners, which makes for a great opportunity to share stories and compare notes on the day.

Tip

Participants will need to provide their own plate, bowl, mug and cutlery, and wash these up themselves (we will ensure that a good supply of warm and clean washing-up water is provided).
