The Full Dragon ⛰️
Considered to be one of the toughest mountain races in the world, participants attempting the Full Course will need to cover 380km with 16,400m of ascent along the Dragon’s Back of Wales.

NEW for 2026! Dragon’s Fire provides an exhilarating two-day introduction to the Dragon’s Back Race, starting with the iconic start at Conwy Castle and tackling the most challenging terrain of the event.

NEW for 2026! Dragon’s Tail captures the unforgettable final chapters of the Dragon’s Back Race, a two-day journey traversing the Bannau Brycheiniog and culminating in a triumphant finale at Cardiff Castle.

The Hatchling 🥚
The Hatchling can be thought of as a ‘choose-your-own adventure’ in which participants can choose to do part of the race route each day - typically either the first half or the second half.
